For the vows I have a wireless lapel mic on the groom. This will pick up the vows from both the bride and the groom and is generally very clear. Depending on the venue (i.e. if it is outdoors) I will also use a separate wireless lapel mic for the officiate, I will also sometimes run a wireless mic to the platform for readings if possible. Which mics I run vary from place to place, but there is always a lapel mic on the groom. For audio in general, I like to have a variety of sources to choose from, so each of the 3 cameras has it’s own microphone in addition to any wireless systems I am running. Redundancy is a good way to ensure a good quality signal as some venues can have not so great acoustics.
